Genesis 24 and Ruth 1
Both of these chapters are about God seeking a bride for a godly man and speak about God seeking out His corporate bride.
February 15, 2022 Tuesday
2 Samuel 24 and Song of Solomon 1
David became proud of his might and the strength of His army so that he numbered his people that he might trust and glory in their strength and numbers. This was a sin of pride and of not trusting God as his source of defense. Because David was upright he repented and he and his people were delivered. Let us always remember God’s love more than the wine of this world and this requires that we be upright so that we repent of trusting in the pleasures of this life and this world that would in any measure eclipse our love for God.

10And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

Ezekiel 6 and Jeremiah 25
After judgment it is repeated over and over that then they shall know that I AM the LORD. Both of these chapters are about judgment upon all the nations of the earth with the intent that through the judgment they must receive because of their rebellion they will come to know the LORD.

9And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

These two chapters are about the apostasy of the people of God through pride, idleness, abundance of bread leading to immorality.

41And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.42So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.
