Joel 2 and Deuteronomy 11

Joel 2:9-13 (KJV)

9They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.10The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:11And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?12Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:13And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

Joel 2:28-31 (KJV)

28And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:29And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.30And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.31The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Deut 11:13-17 (KJV)

13And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,14That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.15And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.16Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;17And then the LORD’S wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.

Deut 11:22-26 (KJV)

22For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;23Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.24Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.25There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.26Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;

2 Corinthians 2 and Ecclesiastes 9 plus 1 John 3
These chapters contain the common theme and message too remove all corruption out of our lives individually and also in our assemblies around Christ.

2Cor 2: 17For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Ecclesiastes 9: 18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.

1John 3: 8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.10In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.11For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

2Cor 2:4-8 (KJV)

4For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.5But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.6Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.7So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.8Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.

2Cor 2:14-17 (KJV)

14Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.15For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:16To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?17For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

12 For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them. [BI, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]

13 This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me: [JFB, NET Notes, TSK]

14 There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it: [BI, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]

15 Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man. [BI, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]

16Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. [BI, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]

17 The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools. [BI, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]

18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.

1John 3:4-11 (KJV)

4Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.5And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.8He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.

Esther 7 and Nehemiah 3
These two chapters are a very clear message to the body of Christ. God has a plan to destroy the enemy and will destroy his attempts to destroy the people of God and God’s purpose. As much as it is urgent now, once this soon happens, then it is time as never before to rebuild and establish the temple of God’s glory and fortify it in congregations through Canada and United States and around the world.

Esth 7:8-10 (KJV)

8Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.9And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.10So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.

Neh 3:1-2 (KJV)

1Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel.2And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri.

Ephesians 2 and Jonah 1
Jonah experienced judgment but still found the mercy of God out of being judged by being in the great whale. In Ephesians while we were still in sin God made us alive. It is the recognition of our worthiness of judgment out of which comes our cry for mercy that brings the mercy and grace of God.

Eph 2:4-10 (KJV)

4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9Not of works, lest any man should boast.10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Jonah 1:13-17 (KJV)

13Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.14Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee.15So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.16Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows.17Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
