1 Peter 5 and Proverbs 14
These chapters are about walking in the ways of the LORD which is the fear of God that births humility and uprightness.
1Pet 5:5-12 (KJV)
5Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.6Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:7Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:9Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.10But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].11To him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.12By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.

Prov 14:2-3 (KJV)
2He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but [he that is] perverse in his ways despiseth him.3In the mouth of the foolish [is] a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.

Prov 14:12-14 (KJV)
12There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death.13Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth [is] heaviness.14The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man [shall be satisfied] from himself.

Prov 14:21-22 (KJV)
21He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy [is] he.22Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth [shall be] to them that devise good.

Joshua 11 and 2 Peter 1
The common theme in these two chapters is the importance of diligence to add to our faith all the qualities that bring conformity to the divine being of love in God. This brings an abundant entrance into the promised inheritance promised by God.

2Pet 1:5-11 (KJV)
5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make [you that ye shall] neither [be] barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.9But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.10Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:11For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Josh 11:15-16 (KJV)
15As the LORD commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD commanded Moses.16So Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same;
Josh 11:20-23 (KJV)
20For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, [and] that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.21And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities.22There was none of the Anakims left in the land of the children of Israel: only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, there remained.23So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.

John 20 and Proverbs 14
Prov 14:2-3 (KJV)
2He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but [he that is] perverse in his ways despiseth him.3In the mouth of the foolish [is] a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
Prov 14:26-27 (KJV)
26In the fear of the LORD [is] strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.27The fear of the LORD [is] a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

John 21:20-23 (KJV)
20Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?21Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what [shall] this man [do]?22Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee? follow thou me.23Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee?

Psalms 82 and Joshua 10
Both chapters describe God conquering the nations to give to the people of God.
Ps 82:1-8 (KJV)
1A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.2How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.3Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.4Deliver the poor and needy: rid [them] out of the hand of the wicked.5They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.6I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High.7But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.8Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
Josh 10:11-14 (KJV)
11And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, [and] were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: [they were] more which died with hailstones than [they] whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.12Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.13And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. [Is] not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.14And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.
Josh 10:42-43 (KJV)
42And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.43And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, unto the camp to Gilgal.

Both of these chapters emphasize the danger of being deceived to not be one with God and also with each other and the blessings when we are in that oneness.
Malachi 2 and 1 Thessalonians 3
Mal 2:4-9 (KJV)
4And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.5My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him [for] the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.6The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.7For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he [is] the messenger of the LORD of hosts.8But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.9Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
Mal 2:15-17 (KJV)
15And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.16For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for [one] covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.17Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied [him]? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil [is] good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where [is] the God of judgment?

1Thess 3:1-5 (KJV)
1Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;2And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:3That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.4For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.5For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
1Thess 3:11-13 (KJV)
11Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.12And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all [men], even as we [do] toward you:13To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
