Ezekiel 23 and Luke 22
1st Corinthians 14
Luke 22 is about the breaking of the covenant that is described in Zechariah 11:10 to 14. Ezekiel 23 reveals the root cause of the enmity that caused the breaking of the covenant. 1st Corinthians 14 reveals the failure of communication that can bring confusion and disorder. The other cause of confusion and disorder is the failure of respect and submission to God’s order which is that the husband is to be respected as the head and also to love the wife to the degree of laying down his life for her out of love and respect for her. In Ezekiel 23 the spirit of whoredoms is the root cause of alienation and thus miscommunication and confusion which is the spirit of Babylon.

17And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.18So she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakedness: then my mind was alienated from her, like as my mind was alienated from her sister.19Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, in calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.

21But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.22And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!23And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.24And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.25And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.26But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.27For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.28Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.29And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;30That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

10And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.11And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.12And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.13And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.14Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

20Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.21In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.22Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.23If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?24But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:25And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

28But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.29Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.30If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.31For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.32And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.33For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
