In 1 Chronicles 26 Israel is being built up and restored and in the other chapters Israel is being destroyed with judgment because of their corruption and sins.

1 Chronicles 7 2 John 1 and Jonah 3 plus 1 Peter 2
1 Chronicles 7 reveals the terrible consequences of the sin of presumption to do things without asking God. In 2 John the denial of Jesus Christ as come in the flesh is out of the presumption which has its root in pride. In 1 Peter 2 we also see this in the rejection of Jesus Christ as the Chief cornerstone of the corporate bride of God.
2 John 1 is about Jesus Christ Who is the Truth which is fully revealed in God coming in the flesh in Jesus Christ and conquering sin and corruption in the flesh. Jonah 3 is about the right response to the truth that brings forgiveness and deliverance from judgment and 1 Peter 2 is about the ultimate purpose of the Truth in the spiritual temple of the people of God built on Jesus Christ the Chief Corner stone.

2 Kings 22 and James 4
Both of these chapters reveal the right response towards God’s Word of reproof with humility and genuine repentance. James 4 also reveals a close relationship between pride and presumption to do as we please without asking God.

1 Corinthians 10 and Galatians 2
In both of these chapters there is a warning against idolatry which is the worship of self or other things which is also an indirect form of the worship of self over Who the One True God can only be. Having ones life motivated and ruled by lust is idolatry. In Galatians 2 they fell into the idolatry of worshiping the law rather than the Giver of the law. They had an idolatrous perception of God as a dictator that required ritualistic practice and sacrifice to be pleased. This is a form of worshiping one’s own self-righteous sufficiency contrary to the ways of God that is used to also justify other impure motives and practices as acceptable to God because of their performances to please God.
