Numbers 15 and Proverbs 10 plus Esther 4
These chapters are about giving diligence to cease the time of crisis by standing in the gap instead of being slothful so that one suffers great loss or is destroyed.
Num 15:28-36 (KJV)
28And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.29Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.30But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.31Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.32And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.33And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.34And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.35And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.36And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Num 15:39-41 (KJV)
39And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:40That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.41I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God.
Prov 10:4-7 (KJV)
4He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.5He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.6Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.7The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.
Esth 4:15-17 (KJV)
15Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,16Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.17So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.

Leviticus 19 and 1 Corinthians 5
Both of these chapters are about separating ourselves as individuals and corporately from all sin and wickedness to be holy before the LORD.
To be holy is to be conformed to the integrity of God’s love that judges all that is corrupt. Agape love always denies self grasping choices of the heart to seek the highest good to the glory of God and others which includes keeping the commandments of the LORD.
Lev 19:1-4 (KJV)
1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,2Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.3Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.4Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.
Lev 19:5-8 (KJV)
5And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will.6It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire.7And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted.8Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Lev 19:19 (KJV)
19Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.
Lev 19:28-30 (KJV)
28Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.29Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.30Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.
1Cor 5:1-6 (KJV)
1It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife.2And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.3For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,4In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,5To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.6Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
1Cor 5:7-11 (KJV)
7Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.9I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:10Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.11But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
1Cor 5:12-13 (KJV)
12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?13But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Romans 13 and Malachi 1
Both of these chapters are about having the genuine fear of God in reverence towards God, towards the powers ordained of God, and towards others and especially the household of faith. It is the loss of the fear of God that brings deception and a falling away.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. [BI, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. [BI, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. [BI, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. [BI, DTN, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [BI, DTN, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. [BI, DTN, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. [BI, DTN, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. [BI, DTN, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.2 [BI, JFB, NET Notes, TSK]
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Mal 1:2-5 (KJV)
2I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,3And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.4Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.5And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.
Mal 1:5-6 (KJV)
5And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.6A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?
Mal 1:12-14 (KJV)
12But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.13Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.14But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.

2 Kings 22 and 1 Corinthians 15
Josiah in the end was humbled by God even though in the beginning he humbled himself with true repentance. We must be willing to die each day that we might be glorified in Christ each day.
2Kgs 22:17-20 (KJV)
17Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.18But to the king of Judah which sent you to enquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard;19Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.20Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again.
1Cor 15:31-44 (KJV)
31I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.32If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.33Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.34Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.35But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?36Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
