The relgious self righteous pride of the self righteous crucified the Messiah. The whole issue of this pride was because they did not fear God as shown in Zechariah 3:7 and in Luke 23 in their motive to crucify Jesus Christ.

Revelation 19 and James 2
Those that will be in the marriage supper of Jesus Christ will be those whose life of faith displays a righteous life with good works out of faith and not of their own merit. Those that have clean white garments radiating over their ultra real permanent spiritual body are those that show mercy to others such as the poor because they are filled with thankfulness for God’s mercy to them because they are those that genuinely fear God.
