Micah 2 and 2 Corinthians 7 plus Psalm 139
These chapters are about genuine repentance and about how to live a holy life so that one does not continue to sin. Micah 2 reveals that there is always a remnant that walks in righteousness when the vast majority are living in wickedness. 2 Corinthians 7 reveals what genuine repentance is and that those the sin if they genuinely repentant can be restored. Psalms 139 reveals the importance of searching our motives and heart choices before God so that we do not fall into sin.
Mic 2:11-13 (KJV)
11If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.12I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.13The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.
2Cor 7:1-11 (KJV)
1Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.2Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.3I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you.4Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.5For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.6Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;7And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.8For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.9Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.10For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.11For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
Ps 139:1-24 (KJV)
1To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.2Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.3Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.4For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.5Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.7Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?8If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.9If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;10Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.11If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.12Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.13For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.14I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.15My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.16Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.17How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!18If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.19Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.20For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.21Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?22I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.23Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:24And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Acts 7 and Numbers 3
Acts 7 shows that they were like those that persecuted their fathers such as Abraham and that their focus was on the earthly physical temple and not the real spiritual temple of God whereas the fathers was first on the spiritual dwelling of God among them. Thus there is a remnant that is called out by God. In Numbers 3 because Israel did not seek the LORD God calls Levi as the remnant to draw people into the dwelling presence of God. The strange fire by Nadab and Abihu speaks of the failure to seek God and find him by Israel which results in bringing forth Levi as the remnant. As a nation they had failed to become a kingdom of Priests and Kings to the nations.
Num 3:4-6 (KJV)
4And Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire before the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest’s office in the sight of Aaron their father.5And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,6Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him.

1 Peter 1 and Proverbs 14
A call to holiness.
1Pet 1:13-25 (KJV)
13Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:15But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.17And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:20Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.24For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:25But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
Prov 14:1-2 (KJV)
1Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.2He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.
Prov 14:11-12 (KJV)
11The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.12There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Prov 14:7-10 (KJV)
7Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.8The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.9Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.10The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.

Leviticus 23 and 2 Timothy 4
The offerings of Israel were done as an full consecration of love onto God and were all focused on the Lamb of God. likewise Paul had given himself as a living sacrifice onto God. The feast of tabernacles speaks of our walk.
2Tim 4:2-7 (KJV)
2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.6For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Lev 23:3-11 (KJV)
3Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.4These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.5In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD’S passover.6And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.7In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.8But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.9And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,10Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:11And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
Lev 23:34-44 (KJV)
34Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD.35On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.36Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.37These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:38Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.39Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.40And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.41And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.42Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:43That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.44And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.
