1 Corinthians 5 and Numbers 32 plus Isaiah 42
These chapters are about exposing and purging sin out of the assemblies of God’s people.
1Cor 5:2-13 (KJV)
2And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.3For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,4In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,5To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.6Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?7Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:8Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.9I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:10Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.11But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?13But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
Num 32:21-23 (KJV)
21And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,22And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD.23But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.
Isa 42:13-19 (KJV)
13The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.14I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.15I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.16And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.17They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.18Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.19Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD’S servant?

Isaiah 43 and Genesis 41
Isa 43:20-23 (KJV)
20The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.21This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.22But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.23Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense.
Isa 43:24-28 (KJV)
24Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.25I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.26Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.27Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.28Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
Gen 41:42-46 (KJV)
42And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;43And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.44And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.45And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.46And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

1 Peter 1 and Proverbs 28 plus Ephesians 3
The common theme in these chapters is to live a holy life because it leads to a life filled with the love of God which can overcome all things.
1Pet 1:13-22 (KJV)
13Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:15But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.17And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:20Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1Pet 1:22-23 (KJV)
22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Eph 3:8-11 (KJV)
8Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;9And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:10To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,11According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
Eph 3:14-21 (KJV)
14For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Prov 28:5-8 (KJV)
5Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.6Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.7Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.8He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
Prov 28:13-14 (KJV)
13He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.14Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

Psalms 96 and Proverbs 17 plus Job 35
Daniel 3 and Nehemiah 6
The source of stability and wholeness is only in genuinely fearing God and when that is gone there is no love which is the cohesion of stablity and wholeness. To mock the poor is reproach God and results in serious judgment. Love covers trangression and brings unity rather than division and destruction. The Genuine fear of God is unconditional as shown in Job. We must trust God regardless of circumstances. In Daniel 3 and Nehemiah 6 the fear of God brings deliverance because there is fearlessnes in those that truly fear God.
Ps 96:4-6 (KJV)
4For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.5For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.6Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Ps 96:9-10 (KJV)
9O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.10Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
Prov 17:8-9 (KJV)
8A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth.9He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.
Prov 17:5 (KJV)
5Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished.
Prov 17:22-23 (KJV)
22A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.23A wicked man taketh a gift out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment.

Proverbs 1 and 2 Samuel 8 plus Mark 7
Psalms 115
Prov 1:16-19 (KJV)
16For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.17Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.18And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.19So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
Prov 1:23-24 (KJV)
23Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.24Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
Prov 1:28-32 (KJV)
28Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:29For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:30They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.31Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.32For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
Prov 1:33 (KJV)
33But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
2Sam 8:6-7 (KJV)
6Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.7And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
Mark 7:6-8 (KJV)
6He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.7Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.8For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
Mark 7:27-35 (KJV)
27But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.28And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs.29And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.30And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.31And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.32And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.33And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;34And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.35And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
Ps 115:1-3 (KJV)
1Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.2Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?3But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
Ps 115:11 (KJV)
11Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.
