Song of Solomon 5:

The bride of Christ is preparing for the Bridegroom but even though there is awakening deep inside individually and corporately in the remnant the LORD expects a response without the delay of sleepiness caused by concerns of this world. Therefore the LORD withdraws that the remnant might seek him wholeheartedly and cast off all concern of what others think. In this full love the bride proclaims the great beauty of who God, the Head is, to the world as to why there is such devoted love to seek him.

Deuteronomy 12:

God requires that we be completely unsparing towards all forms of idolatry in our lives and the corporate body of Christ. It is when we are enjoying the gratifying blessings of abundance that the subtle deception of pride can enter in to rob us of such a hate for sin and idolatry that consumes all compromise. Those that add to the word of God like the Pharisees did or take away from the word of God do so because of the deception of idolatry in their heart.

Deuteronomy 9:

It is important to recognize that it is not our righteousness nor uprightness that gives us the right to conquer evil and inherit people and possessions for the kingdom of God. Rather it is because God goes before us out of a hate that is as a consuming fire against the wicked in government and in the land.

In genuine leadership that is from God there are two things that cause many that call themselves the people of God to withdraw and rebel against them. The first is the absolute holiness of God that will not tolerate that slightest condoning of that which is ungodly and also the fact that leadership actually lives such a holy life without sin. The Second is the meekness and humility that is displayed before the people that makes them seem weak when they desire bold command without the holiness so that they can have identity in a leader that would justify either their self righteous false godliness or their ungodliness.

(Deut 9:3 [KJV])

Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.

(Deut 9:4 [KJV])

Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.

(Deut 9:5 [KJV])

Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

(Deut 9:19 [KJV])

For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.

(Deut 9:20 [KJV])

And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
